Bön is Tibet’s other religious and philosophical tradition, with a canon, a monastic system, a medicine and an astrology of its own, and a history that its followers trace to Tonpa Shenrab long before Buddhism reached Tibet. Its principal monastery in exile is at Dolanji in India. The ten fields are as much Bön’s as anyone’s.
