Heart & Mind is the one part of this field that is finished and in use. It is a curriculum for teachers: nine topics, attention, compassion, resilience, ethical engagement and the rest, each taught at nine ages from kindergarten to the eighth year, with a lesson for every cell and a bank of questions to try before class. It is written in English, with Tibetan stories and names throughout, and it is being translated into Tibetan gradually.
It was inspired by SEE Learning, the secular ethics curriculum developed at Emory University with the Fourteenth Dalai Lama, and it is offered here for weekend schools, Tibetan schools in exile, and any classroom that wants it.
